Reviews & Reputation

The four-star average that's quietly costing you bookings.

Reputation management is the ongoing work of generating new customer reviews, responding to existing ones, and monitoring what’s said about a business online. For local service businesses it directly affects whether someone calls you or the next result down.

Why reviews decide local enquiries

When someone compares three businesses in their suburb, the review count and average rating are usually the only difference they can see before choosing.

Getting reviews without nagging

Most businesses ask inconsistently — a text if someone remembers, never if they don’t. The fix isn’t a clever script, it’s a process that runs after every completed job, at the right moment, with a direct link that takes two taps.

Handling a bad review

A negative review with a calm, specific, non-defensive reply reads better to a future customer than no negative reviews at all. What damages a business is silence, or an argument. We draft the response; you approve it.

Who this is for

Any local service business where customers compare options before calling — trades, clinics, hospitality, professional services.

What's included in our review and reputation management

Every customer asked, automatically.

A friendly SMS or email goes out after each job, visit or paid invoice, triggered from software such as ServiceM8, Xero or Cliniko. One reminder, then we stop. Nobody is filtered out for being unhappy.

Prompts at the counter and on the job.

A QR code sign or card, an NFC tap card and a two-line script for staff.

One tap to your review form.

A short link that opens your Google review box directly.

Monitoring in one place.

Google, Facebook and the sites that matter in your industry, with an alert within a business day of any new review.

Replies within two business days.

Written in your voice. You approve any reply to a negative review before it's posted.

A calm plan for bad reviews.

Acknowledge, take it offline and fix what can be fixed. Fake or policy-breaking reviews are reported to Google and followed up.

Within the rules.

We never offer incentives, post fake or staff reviews, or hide genuine criticism. That keeps you in line with ACCC guidance and Google's policies. Clinics get Ahpra-safe settings: clinical testimonials are never reused in advertising.

Reviews put to work.

Your best reviews shown on your website and social channels. For clinics, only comments about service, not outcomes.

A monthly summary.

Reviews earned, average rating, reply times, and what customers keep praising or complaining about.

You own: your review link, message templates and all review data.

Frequently asked questions

Can you remove a bad review?

Only if it breaches the platform's policies — fake, abusive, or not a real customer. Anyone promising to remove genuine negative reviews is either lying or doing something that'll get your listing penalised.

How many reviews do I need?

There's no magic number. What matters more is recency and consistency — a steady trickle reads as an active business; forty reviews all from 2022 reads as a business that stopped.

Is it okay to offer customers something for a review?

No. Incentivising reviews breaches Google's policies and risks your listing. Asking properly at the right moment works better anyway.
